An Introduction: E-Learning for Life

Welcome to "Collaborative E-Learning for Life" this is a joint initiative originally pioneered in 2004, through a unique partnership between Georgian College - Corporate Training & Consulting and, Ycommunicate.com Inc.

The program was developed to respond to a need within the Healthcare sector in providing shared, cost effective, accurate and timely knowledge. The solution allowed us to take advantage of a mature web based E-learning technology and foster a collaborative E-learning development environment that would seek to share common Learning content with other "like-minded" healthcare organizations. The initiative was, and continues to be, focused towards the Healthcare public sector and private allied, healthcare organizations.

The program has evolved to a point where we currently have 5 unique E-Learning modules that are based on best practice E-learning guidelines and of common value to all healthcare professionals. All collaborative partners are granted access to all content modules for its employees. We foster the development of new content modules by encouraging a collaborative development process that rewards content developers while sharing the content with all participating and progressive Healthcare organizations.

Our E-learning solution has pioneered this collaborative strategy based on a need to more efficient and cost effectively deliver leaning to healthcare professionals when they need it and in an environment and medium that best suites them. For the first time this medium offers the leaner control over the learning experience, allowing them to learn at their own pace, access content in more detail and to share learned information with other Healthcare organizations.

While we make all content accessible to each participating organization we also offer each the opportunity and the incentive to build new content.
