Collaborative E-Learning for Life Administration Secure Confidentiality Policy
Georgian College has developed a unique E-learning solution that offers its Business Training & Consulting clients an opportunity to offer flexible learning solutions to its employees, stakeholders and business partners. The E-Learning modules and their content can be developed with the support and administration of the Georgian College Business Training & Consulting in a robust, web enabled environment that offers Business partners an opportunity to provide E-Learning access anywhere - anytime to their employees or contract workers.
As a component of all E-Learning initiatives, Business Training & Consulting clients are entitled to reports that monitor and measure each course and each learner’s status within the course. Georgian College has created this E-Learning Administration Access Policy to ensure and safeguard the privacy, uniformity and confidentially of both client and leaner information.
Access to the following E-Learning functions is restricted to the Georgian College Corporate Training and Consulting Administrator to ensure the confidentiality and security of all personal user data:
- Management of learner/participants (adding and creating user data and profiles including email addresses and login information)
- Management of all course content resources (files and applications)
- Management of events (course announcements, implementation of self-enrolment functionality)
- Individual leaner reports and group course results for each E-Learning module
- Additional custom information on course results and participation are available upon request
- Leaner surveys can also be incorporated into the learning process upon request
All Georgian College Business Training and Consulting E-Learning administration as noted above are subject to administrative fees as of January 1, 2006. Fees will be assessed and advised prior to course or project development or as new requirements are identified.
Administration Access for all E-Learning modules will be the sole responsibility of Georgian College Business Training and Consulting, including:
- Manage reporting of course results including data on slides, users, questions and answers. Learner statistics will be provided in a standard viewable format (i.e. Excel Spreadsheet) for all course administrators as determined at the outset of the course.
- Manage enrollment of exiting users (adding and removing)
This will ensure the confidentiality of all course results, protect the privacy of each leaner and ensure that the application of Georgian College’s high standards of education are maintained throughout this learning initiative.
