MLCP Courses
Comprehensive course materials support learning and can be used for future reference on the job. Certification is provided upon program completion and is recognized by CME and the Ontario College system.
The MLCP program consists of the following six, 30 hour courses:
1. Supervisory Skills for Business and Industry
Developed through the following modules:

2. Coaching and Developing People
Develop lifelong learning principles in the workplace through the following modules:

5. Computer Fundamentals and Applications
This 30-hour course introduces basic computer terms, concepts, computer operating systems and applications software. "Hands-on" experience will be provided through a computer operating system, word-processing application and spreadsheet application software.
Hardware and Software Choices dependent upon the needs of the audience.
6. Approved Elective
Appropriate work-related 30-hour elective completes the program.
Various courses offered through Continuing Education suitable as electives for this program.
Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is available and may assist qualified participants in acquiring the Certificate more quickly.
How Does The Program Work?
All of the courses in the Manufacturing Leadership Certificate Program can be taken four (4) ways.
- Client-Centred / Workplace Delivery
In the workplace or off-site at one of the partner colleges. Dates, hours and times are customized to the needs of the employer. Pricing is competitive.
- Multi-Client Delivery
May be possible to combine trainees from one or more area employers and schedule the training at a mutually convenient site. this model continues to be successful and has led to innovative scheduling options.
- On-line
Individuals can enroll in the MLCP courses and complete them on-line. Each semester, a number of colleges offer one of the courses on-line. participants may qualify for program credits/exemptions based on previous educational courses in the supervisory/management subject area. - Continuing Education
Individuals can enroll in the MLCP courses offered at their local community college through Continuing Education evening courses. Check with your local college to discover what is offered each semester. Participants may qualify for program credits/exemptions based on previous work, education and life experiences.
